The news coming out from the backstage now is that Reigns won’t be challenging Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight title after Night of Champions. Rather, he will be placed aside of the title picture until he goes on to main event Wrestlemania 31 and win it.
Reigns is considered as the top baby face in the company right now and losing against Lesnar at this point wouldn’t serve right for his image and it could harm the push he is receiving.
If the black-clad-superstar won the title now instead of at WrestleMania, they would miss out on the big WrestleMania moment and it would not maximize the impact of his title win.
