As many know after all, WWE 2K20 was a low point for the franchise, so low that WWE 2K21 was skipped over to better build the next game. WWE 2K22 was a step in the right direction, but WWE 2K23 seems to be taking that even further, which is good for the franchise. Of course, while a lot more will be revealed in the coming months, one of the biggest questions right now is what the playable roster will be. There’s not much to go on, outside the official press release, official screenshots, and initial (yet live-action) trailer, but some superstars have already been confirmed.

It should be noted that the WWE 2K23 roster will expand by a lot heading into release, though some superstars may be kept under wraps until launch. It should also be noted that another WWE 2K23 trailer is set to drop tonight, January 23, during Monday Night Raw. This article will be updated to reflect any new confirmations for the roster at that time.
Furthermore, fans should be aware that WWE 2K23 has a 5 DLC pack Season Pass (included in the WWE 2K23 Deluxe and Icon editions) that will expand this roster beyond launch. It’s hard to say who else will be added in the post-launch window, but given that Bad Bunny gets his own pre-order pack, fans can expect non-wrestlers to appear as DLC too.
WWE 2K23 releases on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on March 17.
