WWE 2K23 is the latest game in the long-running WWE 2K series from 2K Sports and Visual Concepts, with John Cena set to serve as the cover star and centerpiece of the newest Showcase mode. It is also set to feature series popular modes including MyRise, MyFaction, and MyGM.

Following the game’s reveal this past week, Visual Concepts has been sharing first looks at some of the stars set to be featured on the roster including Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley. Rhodes, however, is the first roster member to have his entrance showcased on WWE 2K23’s official Twitter coming on the heels of his big win at the 2023 Royal Rumble. The entrance is largely in-line with Rhodes’ full entrance, from the music and accompanying pyrotechnics to Rhodes’ own mannerisms to hype up the crowd as he makes his way down to the ring.
The entrance showcases the graphical improvements, as well, which some players have already taken notice of since the debut gameplay trailer teasing the Showcase mode. Players have already taken notice on social media, highlighting how the lighting is more accurate to the arena lighting seen on TV and better detailing on the stars in the game. Rhodes is an example of this as his physical appearance and ring gear is captured in extreme detail, from the little notches on his entrance jacket to the vibrant neck tattoo of his American Nightmare logo.
Visual Concepts showcasing Rhodes entrance is a reminder of the big year the wrestler is set to have in 2023. He has, effectively, punched his ticket to a WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match at WrestleMania, a title which is currently held by Roman Reigns. Rhodes is also set to be a playable character in AEW’s own upcoming video game, AEW Fight Forever, which was confirmed by AEW star Kenny Omega who said he wanted to preserve and honor Rhodes’ legacy in the company he helped co-found before heading back to WWE.
WWE 2K23 is scheduled to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on March 17, 2023.
