The MSK tag team is comprised of Wes Lee and Nash Carter in NXT 2.0. Following their NXT Tag Team Championship victory at NXT Stand and Deliver, MSK were broken up due to the firing of Nash Carter from WWE. Carter’s release from the WWE came after an image was posted across social media by his estranged wife, Kimber Lee. This image showed Nash Carter doing a Nazi salute with a Hitler-style mustache, which quickly circulated throughout the entire wrestling community. 2K confirmed the removal of Nash Carter from the Stand Back Pack after his release from the WWE, though his partner is still coming to the game.

Wes Lee joins the WWE 2K22 roster without his tag team partner in the Stand Back Pack, with the DLC confirmed to be releasing on June 7th, 2022. The NXT 2.0 superstar’s entrance was shown off in a near one-minute video, and the wrestler still dons his signature MSK themed attire. In fact, the MSK entrance graphic and music are carried over for Wes Lee.
Hurricane Helms, Stacy Keibler, and A-Kid join the roster alongside Wes Lee in the Stand Back Pack. Shane Helms revealed his in-game superstar with new images taken from Hurricane Helms’ WWE 2K22 entrance. Since Nash Carter is no longer joining the WWE 2K22 roster, bonus MyFACTION cards for Booker T and Seth Rollins are included with the Stand Back Pack as compensation.
Wes Lee is a talented superstar from the NXT 2.0 brand, but his inclusion in WWE 2K22 may leave fans unsatisfied since MSK is not playable as tag team. Additionally, many fans want another superstar to replace Nash Carter instead of the bonus MyFACTION cards. The situation revolving around Nash Carter and his removal from WWE 2K22 continues to be a polarizing topic.
On the other hand, the bonus myFACTION cards are an immediate way to compensate for the removal of Nash Carter without affecting development. Wes Lee still brings his innovative moves into WWE 2K22 and provides enjoyment for fans who want to give him a solo run.
WWE 2K22 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
