The WWE 2K22 1.09 update adds the NXT 2.0 arena, which will go a long way in making the game feel less outdated. Prior to this update, WWE 2K22 players were stuck with the older NXT arena, which hasn’t been seen on television for months. The addition of the NXT 2.0 arena is certainly one of the biggest changes with this latest WWE 2K22 update, though there will likely be quite a bit of fanfare for the MyGM changes as well.
RELATED: It Looks Like WWE 2K23 is Going to Happen After All
After over a decade of fans waiting for General Manager mode to return, WWE 2K22 finally brought the fan favorite mode back as MyGM. Many were happy to see MyGM in WWE 2K22, though there have been some complaints about its shallowness and general lack of features compared to previous entries. Fans will be happy to learn that WWE 2K22 MyGM mode has also been given an upgrade in this latest update, with new options now available to players.
WWE 2K22: How to Get Tag Titles in MyGM
More specifically, the WWE 2K22 MyGM mode now has tag titles and larger match cards when playing on the Normal and Hard difficulties. It’s unclear why the Easy difficulty was left out of the equation, but in any case, WWE 2K22 MyGM players can finally have their own tag team champions. The process is a little different in that players don’t simply select who they want their champions to be like is done with the singles titles. Instead players have to book a tag team match on one of their shows, and they’ll see an option to turn it into a title match. The winners of that match will then become the player’s first tag team champions.
The latest update gives the other game modes some love as well, with fans able to check out improvements to WWE 2K22 MyFACTION, Universe mode, and more. Overall this update is a huge step in the right direction and should go a long way in pleasing fans of the game. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how future updates continue to improve WWE 2K22’s various game modes.
