Altogether there are four WWE superstars confirmed for WWE 2K22 in the new trailer, which runs less than thirty seconds long. First off is Mansoor, a Saudi Arabian pro wrestler, who has oddly enough had just a single match in 2022. Next is Jinder Mahal, a Canadian wrestler of Indian Punjabi Sikh descent. Following Mansoor and Jinder are both Asuka and Sheamus, who were previously mentioned.

In addition to showing each of the four wrestlers’ in-game models in the trailer, 2K Games also reveals their individual wrestling ratings – the metric for their in-game strength. Of the four, Asuka is presented as the strongest. Asuka has earned a healthy rating of 90, six points higher than her 84 rating in WWE 2K20. Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey were the only two women to be given a 90 in WWE 2K20.
As for the three men, Sheamus leads the pack with a rating of 85. That’s an improvement of 3 points over his 82 score for WWE 2K20. Mansoor is 5 points down from that, at 80. Mansoor, who was part of NXT in 2020, was left out of the game and so has no prior rating. That leaves Jinder Mihal, a previous WWE Champion, with a rating of just 77. Even as low as that may seem, it’s one point higher than Jinder’s WWE 2K20 rating of 76.
While their ratings may be hit or miss, one thing that is clear is that Visual Concepts has significantly improved the visuals of WWE 2K22 next to WWE 2K20. Even small details like Mansoor’s hair and Asuka’s mask danglies having physics adds a lot to their respective personalities.
With the addition of these four international WWE superstars, the WWE 2K22 roster has grown to nearly 40 members. The WWE 2K20 roster had well over 200 wrestlers, combining both the men’s and women’s divisions, so there are a lot of wrestlers yet to debut.
WWE 2K22 releases March 11 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
