Of the list, only two of them are brand new, and seven of them are women wrestlers. Considering the game’s MyCareer mode will allow players to take control of a women wrestler for the first time, making them among the first confirmed characters is probably a part of the WWE’s proactive push of its women superstars. Aside from them, the list also includes the two cover stars - Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch, the latter of which will play an important role in the game’s Showcase mode, alongside the Four Horsewomen group.

The full list is:
Becky Lynch (member of the Four Horsewomen) Roman Reigns Chyna (first appearance since WWF Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role (2000)) Hulk Hogan (first appearance since WWE 2K15 (2014)) Mankind (will also have a Rock ’n’ Sock Connection variant) The Rock (will also have a $500 Shirt variant) The Miz Charlotte (member of the Four Horsewomen) Brock Lesnar Bayley (member of the Four Horsewomen) Sasha Banks (member of the Four Horsewomen) Papa Shango Braun Strowman Nia Jax Asuka Angelo Dawkins Montez Ford “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
It should also be noted that Chyna, Hulk Hogan, Mankind and The Rock will only be available at launch via the game’s Deluxe and Collector’s Editions, and will most likely be added as DLC at a later date for everyone else. In fact, WWE 2K20 looks set to have a lot of DLC planned for the future to keep fans playing, with a service model called WWE 2k20 Originals, which will include Halloween-like variants of wrestlers like Frankenbraun and Swamp Monster Bray Wyatt (which seems to indicate that Bray Wyatt will be playable as well, bringing the roster to 19 so far).
WWE 2K20 will release on October 22nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
