With Dragonflight’s Mythic Season 1 in full swing, and top guilds racing to claim World First for the Vault of the Incarnates raid, it’s a pretty good time for World of Warcraft players to return to the game. Dragonflight’s launch woes have been shed, the queue has been stabilized, and World of Warcraft classes are undergoing significant balance changes.

To that end, Blizzard Entertainment has put forward a Christmas deal for all World of Warcraft players with an active subscription who haven’t yet purchased Dragonflight. Blizzard is allowing these players to experience Dragon Isles content for free up to Level 63, including the ability to make the new Dracthyr Evoker with no time limit. The free trial is valid until January 2, 2022, and will give players a free 30-Day subscription should they decide to purchase a copy of Dragonflight.
Any World of Warcraft account is eligible for the offer, and players who are gifted the new expansion from their friends can also benefit from the 30-Day subscription bonus. Though this might get plenty of people to return to Azeroth, it is ultimately the content of Dragonflight that will decide if they stay. It’s far too early to say if Dragonflight is a good World of Warcraft expansion, but the current verdict is rather positive among its playerbase. Dragonriding is an exciting new feature, and many fans would argue that the Dragon Isles represent some of the best World of Warcraft zones ever designed.
Furthermore, with the addition of the new Trading Post feature in Dragonflight, players will be able to spend coins obtained through their World of Warcraft subscription to purchase exclusive mounts, transmog, pets, and more. With Patch 10.0.5 on the horizon, those who were on the fence about giving World of Warcraft another try likely won’t find a better opportunity until the next major content patch.
