Either way, Chicago native and current Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis thinks it would be cool to see Bartman throw out the first pitch in Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field, site of Bartman’s infamous deed.

Don’t get your hopes up, Chicago. Sounds like Bartman is staying in hiding.
“I don’t think so,’’ Frank Murtha, Bartman’s spokesman, said Monday via Newsday about him attending a World Series game. “Obviously, Steven and I have talked about this many, many times. It’s never been publicly or privately conditioned on the Cubs winning the National League pennant, winning the World Series. If you ask me the trend or for the leaning based on Steve’s feeling, it would probably still remain the same.’’

According to Newsday, Bartman is now a 39-year-old bachelor, working for a financial services company north of Chicago. He’s never spoken publicly since the incident.
Like the rest of us, Bartman will likely be watching the World Series in the comfort of his own home.
