It was the first grand slam in the World Series since Oct. 22, 2005, when the White Sox’s Paul Konerko went deep against the Astros in Game 2. It was also the first grand slam ever hit by a Cubs player in the World Series, and the first grand slam allowed by a Cleveland pitcher in World Series history.
